We are pleased to announce that Dr. Yasuo Takeda, Chairman of the Japanese Society of Hospital Pharmacists, has been appointed as our advisor.
In recent years, as environmental improvements, including deregulation, have been made to promote decentralized clinical trials (DCT), the roles of pharmacists and pharmacies have become increasingly important in clinical trials and research. As initiatives such as direct delivery of investigational drugs to patients’ homes and drug distribution at pharmacies become more feasible, there is a need to create a system that utilizes local family pharmacies as “partner pharmacies” to provide safe and continuous clinical trial support closer to patients.
Under Dr. Takeda’s deep knowledge and leadership, Buzzreach will accelerate the creation of a clinical trial ecosystem in the DCT era while supporting the creation of new value by pharmacists.
